Cast-Not-Set

Cast-not-set, also know as cast-in-place, is a centuries-old technique where the stones are directly embedded into the mould and then cast in metal. The molten metal hugs and pinches around the stones as it cools down, shrinking to capture the stones in place.

The unpredictability of this process steps away from perfection in favour of bringing a more organic and natural look.

As a result of the methods we use, each item will have their own character and texture, creating a one-of-a-kind piece each time. Please mind stones can change colour due to the high temperatures of molten metal or being partially submerged into the piece.
